Over 13 years ago, I came home from a blog conference in Salt Lake City and I was inspired. I kept thinking about life and goals, and who and what I really wanted to be. I thought about choices and how those frame who we become. And, I bought chosentobe.com. I didn’t have a plan for it, I just knew it was going to be something someday.
Then life got full and busy in the best ways. Before I knew it, I had three kids within 3 1/2 years. I also had my dream job in travel marketing. Then came the carpool runs, competitive sports schedules, and a calendar that is full of all of the good things. Chosen to Be sat quietly in the background while I spent more than 20 years helping brands like Disney and Universal get people excited to say yes.
Earlier this year, my position at work, my at the time dream job, was eliminated. After 23 years, I suddenly had choices to make.
For the first time in a long time, I asked myself the big questions again. Who am I? Who do I want to be? What do I really want to do?
The answer had been sitting in the back of my mind, and my domain account, the whole time.
Chosen to Be builds websites in a week for small businesses across the US. I design the site and if you need more than that, I can do your copywriting, and even help you plan your social media. Everything happens in one focused week, so your website stops living on your someday list and actually gets to BE.
Here’s what I believe: if you’re not excited about your business, no one else will be either. Your website should make people feel that excitement before they ever meet you, much less before they start working with you.
Because small business owners are my people. You chose this. You took a leap, built something with your own two hands, and you deserve a website that shows the world exactly why.
I spent my career doing marketing with big brands for a small business. I’ve seen and know both sides of the business. Now I get to bring that same magic to the bakery down the street, the photographer building her dream, and the coach who changes lives one client at a time. And I’ll tell you, there’s real magic and real power in the smaller businesses. You don’t have to ask permission before making changes, before taking leaps and before going big. You just get to do it. I LOVE small business owners and can’t wait to work with you.
This blog is where I’ll share:
I’m writing from Ogden, Utah, a quirky little mountain town full of history, art, and small businesses with big personalities. I love to work with business owners all across the country.
I’m so happy you’re here.
Kimberly
